- Years ago I purchased a powered speaker for my surround sound home theatre.
- It's a Proton 301 which has a built in amp and turns itself automatically on
- when it detects a signal. It sits on top of my monitor (it's shielded) and has
- operated admirably. If it doesn't detect a signal for about 2 minutes, it
- powers itself down.
