- Any 8mm/Hi8mm VTR that has stereo has AFM stereo. 8mm never had low fidelity
- stereo linear tracks like VHS. Even the PCM units must record AFM stereo so
- that the tapes will playback on none PCM units.

- Audio dubbing can only be done via PCM tracks in the 8mm/Hi8mm format. AFM is
- recorded with the video - PCM is recorded on seperate tracks. Keep in mind
- your dubs go away if you put the tape in a none PCM unit.
