  12. Ok, I'm new to this newsgroup -- maybe you've beat this to death...

  14. Looking through "Camcorder" magazine.... what's with these guys in
  15. New York selling camcorders below cost.

  17. Here's the diversity of opinion I've gathered
  18.  
  19.     -they are re-boxed return merchandise
  20.     
  21.     -they are gray-market camcorders obtained via non-authorized
  22.          dealers/routes/sources
  23.  
  24.     -they don't include an american warranty
  25.  
  26.     -they are stripped of standard manufacturer accessories.
  27.  
  28. For example, a Sony FX510 is going for $688.  This is $200 less than 
  29. what one can pick this up in any of the electronic "Superstores" in
  30. Chicago.
