- In my case, I'm dealing with the wunnerful world of cable TV. :-\
-
- My intent was to purchase a 70 channel cable amplifier from Radio Shack,
- which is advertised to produce 10-20 dB of gain. I'll probably use my
- laundry room as a wiring closet where I'll install the amplifiers with
- the splitters. RS sells two types of 70 ch. cable amps (as I recall):
- one is an in-line amp with variable gain, the second is an amplified
- 1-to-4 splitter. Since I'm running cable to 8 rooms, I'll probably
- take the feed into the house, run it through a 1-to-2 splitter into
- two of the amplified 1-to-4 splitters off to the rooms.
-
- Probably overkill, but I want as clear a picture as I can get.
- Comments or experiences using these amps?
