- We just viewed some photo-CD images on our SGI's here (24bit 1280x1024).
- The highest resolution form of the images are much to large for our screen,
- but we viewed a small portion of the picture, and the resolution was
- EXCELENT.
-
- One of the people upstairs got a Kodak Demo CD with his CD player, and
- we transferred the images to our SGI in SGI RGB format so we could view
- the pictures there. Most of the images on the CD are shot on Ektar-25.
- A few are on slide film, and a couple more were shot on Kodak Gold-100.
-
- From looking at one of the highest resoluton images, I'd guess that
- they're pushing the resolution limits of the cameras (all 35mm) that
- took them.
-
- I get the feeling, though that most of the images we looked at were
- relatively low-contrast compared to what's available. Any comment from
- the KOKAK people on this?
