  20.     Yes. VHS tape is VHS tape. You can drill a small hole in the
  21.     case and make it an S-VHS tape. There is an article posted
  22.     in this group telling you how to do this. But as far as 
  23.     using your UK VHS tapes there should not be a problem. It's only
  24.     the signal that is recorded on the tape that makes
  25.     the difference between PAL and NTSC.

  27.      By the way if ever you need any tapes converting to/from PAL
  28.     my wife runs business doing just that. We left England several years ago
  29.     and wanted to send videos back. The cost was astronomical at first,
  30.     so we bought a machine and now run a business! The Amercian way:-)
