  21.    rebuilt (at least, that's what the shop said -- symptoms were that it would
  22.    squeal on rewind & sometimes not rewind at all -- and the price included a

  24. That's exactly what happened to my parents VCR also. But in addition to
  25. that they have had troubles with the remote control and the write-
  26. protect detector (which made it impossible to record since the VCR
  27. always thought the write protection was gone, which in turn means
  28. that the cassette is write-protected ;-)  )
