- By all means, _never_ just start babbling along in English; they may
- take it as an insult. Learn some basic phrases, so that you can at
- least start (and finish) in French. And don't say "do you speak
- English? ", say "parlez-vous Anglais?". If you're polite and show
- that you are *trying*, you have much better chances. Good luck! :-)
