- Travelling from Agra to Varanasi
-
- There are a couple of express trains between Agra and Varanasi. I will
- have to look up the "Indian Bradshaw" to get the exact details.
- However, I do know that these trains are not particularly fast and have
- a lot of stops. You might be better off using New Delhi as a hub; there
- are many fast trains between Agra and New Delhi (such as the Taj Express
- and Shatabdi Express) and several between New Delhi and Varanasi.
- In general, I would say that the trains between Agra and Varanasi are
- quite slow and inconvenient and should be avoided as far as possible. You
- might spend a few hours extra in"hubbing" through New Delhi, but much less
- hassle in obtaining reservations etc.
- If anyone wants more details about these trains send me email. However,
- the timetable I have is about a year old and not entirely reliable.
