  19. My last message to locate James Herriot, the author of fantastic
  20. animal books, such as "Vets might fly", "Its shouldn't happen
  21. to a vet", "The Lord God made them all", ....  , has received
  22. numerous replies from all the nice people over the world ...
  23.  
  24. My sincere thanks to Susan, Vicki, John, Liz, Roberta, DNC, Paul,
  25. Bob, Alan, Marie, Steve, Mary and many others who never mention
  26. their names in their mail ( except their email address ) ...
  27.  
  28. The information I received is:
  29. 1.  James Herriot's real name is James Alfred White
  30. 2.  Darrowby is actually in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, UK
  31.     ( about 20 miles northnorthwest of York )
  32. 3.  Writing to his publisher may help to locate him
  33.     ( I will try but worry that I may not get the reply by April, 
  34.       when I leave for UK )
  35. 4.  He may not be friendly to autograph hunter 8(  (ie all his fans) 
  36. 5.  He may have retired from his practice and is living 
  37.     somewhere else (Scotland?)  ;(  (worst info I received)
  38.  
  39. In his books, he works (owns) in a vet clinic in Darrowby.
  40. If I cannot find him, I suppose I can at least take some photos
  41. of the place.  So anyone know the actual name of the clinic
  42. and the address ?  In addition, please email to me if anyone
  43. have additional information not listed above!  Thanks you all!
