- I suppose the Keys are a yachtsman's paradise. Not being a boater
- I found them rather unappealing except for Key West, which is the sort
- of place where fun comes up and grabs you by the throat, and not much
- instruction is needed. Do be sure and take a snorkelling cruise, though.

- And be prepared for steep hotel rates if you stay on Key West.

- Take US1 until the very end. The first bit of the island is disappointing.
- Do not despair. Keep going to the end. Stay as long as you can afford it,
- and arrive without much of a plan. Avoid the expensive restaurants with the
- most prominent locations though the cheap ones are fine for conch fritters.
- The best food is slightly off the beaten path. Sorry I don't remember names
- of restaurants.
