  11. We're be visiting Florida in April. We thought that a short
  12. trip to the Bahamas (one or two days) might be interesting.
  13. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any actual info 
  14. about available cruises, prices, and where they actually go
  15. to, in Germany.

  17. Everything I've found offered was package trips including
  18. flight from/to Germany and Hotels in Florida. Since this is
  19. way to inflexible (we already have a flight and want to pick
  20. the hotels ourselves) and I have this nagging feeling that
  21. booking a tour in the US might be cheaper, I'm asking the 
  22. net community:

  24.  - Are there short trips available where you actually have
  25.    some time left to spend on the Bahamas. Seeing the Bahamas
  26.    is our main goal. Travel guides are talking about one-day
  27.    trips where you mainly can do some gambling or such, we
  28.    wouldn't be much interested in something like this.

  30.  - Are they worth the expense (your opinion of course)
  31.  
  32.  - What would the two of us have to spend (roughly, like
  33.    $100, $500, $2000 or such)
  34.  
  35.  - Where to start, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral?

  37.  - How do you book them, any old travel agent, or what?
