- We're be visiting Florida in April. We thought that a short
- trip to the Bahamas (one or two days) might be interesting.
- Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any actual info
- about available cruises, prices, and where they actually go
- to, in Germany.
-
- Everything I've found offered was package trips including
- flight from/to Germany and Hotels in Florida. Since this is
- way to inflexible (we already have a flight and want to pick
- the hotels ourselves) and I have this nagging feeling that
- booking a tour in the US might be cheaper, I'm asking the
- net community:
-
- - Are there short trips available where you actually have
- some time left to spend on the Bahamas. Seeing the Bahamas
- is our main goal. Travel guides are talking about one-day
- trips where you mainly can do some gambling or such, we
- wouldn't be much interested in something like this.
-
- - Are they worth the expense (your opinion of course)
-
- - What would the two of us have to spend (roughly, like
- $100, $500, $2000 or such)
-
- - Where to start, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral?
-
- - How do you book them, any old travel agent, or what?
-
- Thanks ahead for any info,
-
- Michael
