- you can get along by English in any of those cities, no problems. In
- Athens everybody's real nice, and don't seem to mind at all if you speak
- English as goes for Amsterdam. In Rome they might be a bit reluctant,
- but they're friendly most of the time. Just be prepared to meet some
- arrogance in Paris, though..
- I wouldn't call Venice easily accessed from Athens unless you go by air.
- Yugoslavia is closed, so if you went by car or railway you'd have to go
- around it, or take the ferry from Greece to Italy (usually Patras-Brindisi),
- and then take a day or two to get up there...
- Any of these cities could be romantic, just put your mind to it.. :)
