- I would like info from anyone who travelled on the Karakorum Highway
- between Urumqi, China and Islamabad, Pakistan in the summer of 1992.
- I have the Lonely Planet Guides dealing with the areas (China,
- Pakistan, and The Karakorum Highway) but I would like to brought up
- to date on the transportation situation (i.e. the problems obtaining
- tickets in Urumqi and Kashgar), border formalities, costs and even
- more generally what you would do again or not do again in hindsight.
- I will try to post whatever info I can put together from the
- responses.
-
- Thanks
