- The State of ALASKA publishes a very useful booklet (about 130 pages).
- It's free. The first 39 pages is general information (very informative)
- and the rest are advertisements by just about everybody - cruises, going
- by train or by bus or by car (or whatever), restaurants, hotels, motels, etc.
-
- Definitely recommended if you do-it-yourself. No 1-800 number, though.
- Instead, write or call (remember - 4 hours later than Eastern Standard Time):
-
- Alaska Tourism Marketing Council
- Dept. 201, P.O. Box 110801
- Juneau, AK 998811-0801
- Phone: (907)465-2010

- If you don't really want to do it yourself, Gray Line Tours has various
- packages which seem to be spliced together from what other organizations
- have sponsored. The choices include bus (of course), train, boat in various
- combinations. For a copy of the Gray Line brochure, call 1-800-628-2449.
