- We took a similar cruise at the end of September of last year. The one we
- went on was a one-way trip with stops in Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan
- Ixtapa, and Acapulco, then a flight back from there. This was on Royal
- Caribbean cruise lines.
-
- It was the first cruise I've been on, and I really enjoyed the cruise itself.
- The cabin was small but ample. The food on the cruise was great, and there
- was always plenty to do (usually too much to do...you couldn't do it all).
-
- My only real complaint was that we didn't get nearly enough time in Mexico
- itself. Each stop was about 6 to 8 hours, and by the time you get off the
- ship and look around a bit it's time to head back. Most of the ship's planned
- excursions involved shopping or going to hotels for drinks. I really can't
- say that we saw enough of Mexico to even decide if we liked the different ports.
-
- So, I guess in summary, if you're going cruising to enjoy the cruise, it's
- great. If you are going to really see Mexico you're better off going some
- other way.
