  13. I have a question about obtaining paddle rubber in Japan.

  15. A friend of mine recently returned from China, and while there had obtained
  16. some Double Happiness paddles for about $4 each.  That's a pretty low price.
  17. I'm actually only interested in the rubber, but anyhow....

  19. Now I have another friend in Japan.  Is is possible to obtain similar
  20. bargains there?  If so, which brands (and types) of rubber are easily
  21. available there, and for how much?  I'm sure that he would get me some
  22. if I asked, and if I could provide him with sufficient details.  My friend
  23. speaks only a little Japanese, but knows how to get around (he's worked there
  24. for 2 years now).  He is currently in Shimodate, but goes to Tokyo periodically.
