- Some of my best friends are Leeds fans... yup, it's a true fact and just
- what is so wrong about stating this. You seem desperate to find hatred,
- racism and bigotry in everyone of us, I cannot see any indication of racism in
- the example you have given above and yet you seem to be suggesting that the
- author must be a racist because he admits to having black friends. I cannot
- see any relevance at all in the article quoted, all you have detailed is that
- the author thinks it was an an outrageous act for Paul Elliot to point out that
- he and Walters are the same colour - strange topic for an article certainly,
- but not a sniff of racism. The only reason I can think of for Elliot's action
- was that he was getting racial abuse from Rangers' fans and was gesturing to
- them that as Walters was also on the park they should perhaps realise that he
- would be suffering as well as Elliot. Your assumption that no racist abuse
- had taken place would therefore be completely wrong. Are you sure the article
- wasn't condemning the racist abuse and highlighting this incident in order to
- try and shame some of the morons into ceasing their monkey chants ?
-
- I have always found Follow Follow to be very right on when it comes to
- racism, naturally they like to take digs at Celtic fans and I'd expect no
- less, just don't try and pass that off as being religious bigotry.
