  10. Last night, the Whalers beat Montreal in the forum 6-5.  Pat Verbeek
  11. scored the game winner with only 43 seconds remaining.  As the puck
  12. slid along the boards, Roy went behind his goal to slow it down, only
  13. to find Verbeek beat him to it.  Verbeek beat Roy to the front of the
  14. goal and slammed it home into the empty net.  It was Hartford's first
  15. road victory since they beat the Canadiens in Montreal in late
  16. December.  Hartford improved to 3-8 in one goal games.  Yvon Corriveau
  17. (reacquired from San Jose), Patrick Poulin, Nick Kypreos also tallied
  18. for Hartford.
