- You're excused for apparantly being in the bathroom when Selanne left his
- feet to throw an elbow at Cam Russell's face. But I guess if Cam hadn't been
- wearing his platform skates, he wouldn't have been skating at the level of
- Selanne's elbow. His fault, I guess.
-
- Well, Winnipeg seems to be the flavor of the month around here and the cries
- of bloody murder from there over this game seem to lack a bit of perspective.
- It sounds like the whole team are candidates for sainthood. The old
- OurGuysThrowCleanChecksButEveryoneElseIsDirty routine. BOTH teams WERE doing
- it up. Pretty evenly, Chelios notwithstanding (whose propensity for drawing
- misconducts is getting tiring). Even so, this game barely had me paying
- attention in the 3rd period. I just watched the Hawks play 4 straight games
- against Norris Division opponents. And this game gets the complaints?
- Winnipeg wants to join the Norris. What's going to happen when you have to
- drag Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, and St.Louis around 8 times a year each.
- This network will collapse from the traffic judging by what I've seen from
- this game.
-
- Believe it or not, other players besides Winnipeg Jets bleed and get slashed
- on the ice without penalty, so don't martyr your brave lads yet. Chelios and
- Brent Sutter seemingly bleed according to some schedule. It's been open season
- on Jocelyn Lemieux's face since it was almost ripped off. Jeremy Roenick has
- played through injuries via slashes to his wrists and hands last year and I
- think again this year. The majority go without calls. People can tell you the
- same about any other team so spare me the Winnipeg conspiracy. Just deal with
- the fact that YOUR team can cheap shot and slash and hold just like any other.
-
- GO EDMONTON.

- Yeah, well get used to it. The former #3 (Dave Manson) of the Hawks had the
- same problem. I saw him pick up 3 "in the vicinity" penalties in one period
- once.
