- Just out of interest, the fastest first-class century was by David Hookes
- against Victoria. He took 34 balls to do it. He was annoyed that the opposition
- captain, Graham Yallop didn't declare until very late, so he went and opened
- the innings. He hit the first ball of the innings for six, and went from there.
- His fifty took 17 balls. Must have been a pretty phenomenal knock.
-
- I think Simon O'Donnell scored 50 off 18 balls in the '87 World Cup against
- someone. India perhaps. Could someone confirm this. Also, does anyone else know
- of any fast scoring knocks similar to the above ??
-
- Thanks.
