- Weekes of course has an impressive record
- and in fact there is an article in the November international cricketer
- his figures are impressive but of course with World XI's in more a case
- of which XI you pick at the time. I guess you could pick 4 World XI's
- and still end up with great teams.

- I must admit I was thinking more of the 1970's Vivi Richards especailly
- the 1976 model. As for S.G. Barnes I guess more matches were probably
- need to determine his exact ability. Still wouldn't it be great to have
- two Sid Barnes on the field. I suppose Richards would be in the same
- boat as Barnes having only played 4 tests. Of course Ponsford has a great high
- scoring record.

-
- Knott, of course how did he slip by me, I was investigating some of the
- earlier keepers with respect to Marsh and Knott slipped my mind.

-
- Didn't say much about Miller who I think is underrated (maybe just unmentioned)
- and Richie Benaud reckons he was a good captain which was why I made him
- captain.

- I guess I'm biased by my favourtism for Holding of the West Indian bowlers.

- True, especailly when very few (any?) have seen every cricketer ever.

- [my australian team was here]
- Intersting to note that Langer was in fact first reserve for any
- middle order bat. Unfortunate that it was an injury to Martyn and
- he did not in fact replace the worst of the middle order bats Steve Waugh.

- Agreed on Taylor in one-dayers. I would even have Zoehrer open in them a chance.
- Try to be a bit unorthordox without bringing in undeserving players.
- >first-class average does improve. We need someone who can push the score

-
- Small is 38 and has no technique, I don't where you could get the idea. I
- mean his age just make it prohibitive and he has also been dropped from
- NSW team because of form.

-
- And his inferoir batting, worse keeping and constant appealing. I'm still
- waiting for him to appeal when the ball is caught by a spectator!

-
- No definetely not.Form does not warrent his inclusion and in England I don't
- think he should be in the 17
- I think Julian could be the replacement for O'Donnell in the one-day teams,
- in fact I would suggest that the Australian team for the last two finals
- should have included the 7 batsmen, and not one of the bowlers. With
- the two Waughs,Border and Martyn they could get through 10 overs.
- As it was Australia's batting was found to be inadequate.
