- The real bummer for Purdue fans is that they could be number one right
- now. Purdue started out 9-0 and have met their only tough opponents at
- home (UMich and IU). If Purdue had kept playing at the same level that
- got them 9-0, they could be 14-0 right now. Yes, I have to admit that
- this is unlikely but with Glenn Robinson and the raw talent on the
- team, it should have been much closer to reality than we now see.

- I don't think UNC will get number 1 until either IU loses or they beat Duke
- convincingly.

- Yes, I agree with Purdue but Wisconsin is playing awfully well right now.
-
- This is how I would rate the big10 so far:
-
- 1) IU - because they are undefeated.
- 2) UMich - Close #2
- 3) Iowa - Still a good team, but has only played 3 games
- 4) Illinois - close games with IU and UMich
- 5) Wisc - Playing well with 3 good wins
- 6) Mich St - Potentially strong
- 7) Minn - Cannot win on road but tough at home
- 8) Purdue - Has yet to prove against decent team
- 9) Ohio St - Tough early losses, maybe too young
- 10) Penn St - big 10 growing pains
- 11) NW - Good enough to play a big spoiler.
