- I don't think Ed deserves too much blame for the rebounding situation,
- since he's about the only player on the Bruins getting very many of them,
- of late. Yesterday, he had at least 8 or 9, which should be fine for
- a forward. What's missing is the rebounding from the center position.
- I think Petrushka, Zidek, and Zimmerman combined for around 5 or 6, which
- clearly is not acceptable. Especially since, with the possible exception
- of Petrushka, these players are not expected to score many points, as long
- as they play defense and rebound. Butler has also not been holding up
- his end in rebounds, of late.

- Tarver excels at getting points in garbage time, it seems to me. He was
- our high scorer yesterday, but he got 8 or 10 points late in the second
- half, when the game was already lost. Where was he when the game was
- winnable? Missing the few shots he was taking, and not grabbing any rebounds
- that bounced his way. It seems to me that Tarver very rarely scores at
- a moment when the team needs it badly.

-
- Up until yesterday, I thought it was not fair to dump a coach with a 73%
- winning percentage who has taken the team to the NCAA every year he's been
- here. But yesterday, Harrick was coaching like he'd already lost the
- job and didn't give a damn, any more. (In fact, there was a rumor floating
- around the alumni section that Harrick had just been fired, which, until I
- found out it wasn't true, made his coaching decisions seem a lot more
- comprehensible.) If he's not going to make even the most elementary and
- obvious coaching moves (sitting Zimmerman with three fouls, going for
- three pointers midway through the second half when nothing else could win),
- I'd as soon get someone who will.
