  18. One rule that comes to my mind is the so-called "Lew Alcindor Rule," 
  19. which bans dunking the ball.  This rule came into effect during the 
  20. Lew Alcindor years, and, of course, this rule has something to do with 
  21. UCLA's advantage in having a 7'+ center in Lew Alcindor.

  23. Needless to say, this rule hurt college basketball more than it helped.
  24. This rule was abolished in late 1970's or early 1980's.
