- After skiing Summit Co. for New Year's and Jackson Hole the
- next week, I'm looking forward to going to New Mexico next weekend.
- I'll be flying in to Alberquerque and finishing some business there
- before heading to the slopes.
- I hear Taos is a few hours away from ABQ, so my friends there
- suggest we stay a night up at Taos. Any suggestions for:
-
- one nights lodging?
- stay at the ski valley at one of the nice lodges?
- Or is it better to stay in the town at a hotel?
-
- I've got a NSA ski card which gets me cheaper tickets, but you have to mail
- for them. Any discount places in ABQ?
- Well Taos is for a Monday trip, but on Saturday he suggested
- we go to Los Alamos. What's the deal with that place? I'm just
- curious about the "LAB" ski hill. Any suggestions of good runs there
- or at Taos? How much base is needed to cover the rocks at top
- of Taos. (My skis took enough abuse at Breck at New Year's lack of
- snow.)
- So far I've hardly been able to use that NSA card much, but
- it has been good. The best deal I got was at Grand Targhee. A
- $18 advanced lesson for half price. $9 WOW!
- Well, I'm looking to see how Taos compares to Jackson and
- Summit, but I won't be there for a week.
