- Hello,
-
- I have an astigmatism (sp?) which is, by and large, uncorrectable with
- contact lenses. Thus, I must wear glasses when I ski. Likewise, wearing
- goggles is a good idea. Together glasses, goggles and high levels of
- exertion result in a good deal of fog buildup on the glasses.
-
- Does anybody have any suggestions for an industrial strength anti-fog?
- Here's what I've tried:
-
- "D-Fog": diving mask de-fogger, bought at a SCUBA diving shop in Dallas,
- "Fog-X": by the makers of "Rain-X" for your car,
- "Fog Free": skiing specific anti-fog soloution bought in a backpacking/ski
- shop near Ft. Worth (Texas),
- Scott "No Fog Cloth": self explanatory,
- Spit: this seems to work for divers, but didn't for me!
- tooth-paste: Somewhere I heard that this works as a fog inhibitor, but I
- haven't tried it yet.
-
- I may have done the most exhaustive research yet into fog inhibitors, but
- none of my work has resulted in an effcient defogger (probably the best
- was the SCUBA stuff). If anyone out there has a secret home remedy for anti-
- fog stuff, PLEASE, let me know. I am at the mercy of the condensation
- gods!
