  43. SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITY
  44. --------------------
  45.  
  46.              Solar activity was very low. No flares occurred
  47.        during the past day. A fifteen degree section of filament,
  48.        centered near S45W00, disappeared sometime between 25/2300Z
  49.        and 26/1100Z. This eruption was not observed optically.
  50.        Operators of the Yohkoh soft x-ray telescope report a possible
  51.        post-eruption signature of bright cusp-shaped structures.
  52.  
  53.             Solar activity forecast:  solar activity is expected to be
  54.        very low. A general trend towards increased activity is expected
  55.        over the next few days as new regions rotate into view at the
  56.        southeast limb.
  57.  
  58.             The geomagnetic field was unsettled to active at middle
  59.        latitudes and active to storm at high latitudes. The most
  60.        disturbed periods occurred from 26/0900-1500Z.

  62.             Geophysical activity forecast:  the geomagnetic field is
  63.        expected to be unsettled to active becoming quiet to unsettled.
