- Nikon makes a camera with about the same features as the K1000, it's
- called FM-2 over here, I think it has the same name in the US. The FM-2
- is a bit more rugged and has more attachable features, but they are
- generally the same type of camera.

- Personally, I think both cameras are quite ideal for a beginner, to learn
- photgraphy basics I believe nothing beats a completely manual camera. At
- Fotohoegskolan, i.e. the best recognized photographic education we have in
- Sweden, I know FM-2 is a very popular starter's equipment.

- Don't worry - they both have a light meter in the viewfinder. Integral
- metering.
