- Hi,
- I can't find the original article, but here's my comment
- on medium format without 35mm:
-
- I was on a short vacation recently and I took a Pentax 67,
- two lenses and a spotmeter with me instead of the usual
- 35mm camera with two lenses. Surprisingly, everything fit
- into a smaller bag than I had expected, but it was heavy. Additionally,
- I had to keep the film somewhere else.
-
- Disadvantages compared to 35mm equipment:
-
- -more weight
- -more space needed for films (considerably)
- -more time needed for changing the films (considerably)
- -big cameras draw much attention - bad for candid pictures
- -more thinking about the right exposure required
- -more concern about loss of the equipment
-
- Thinking about it, I will only take medium format for a vacation again
- if the vacation is short and I really give a high priority to
- photography.
