- I've been thinking about picking up a 4x5 view or field camera. I've
- been thinking about a field, because I like to shoot occasionally
- outdoors, which often means a bit of a hike. However, I expect that
- most of my use would be in the studio.
-
- Now, some field cameras seem to have reasonably full movements. Notable
- here would be the Zone VI. The place where they would seem to lack
- would be that the movements aren't geared, there aren't scales, etc.
- So my question is: how important are these gears and scales and so
- forth to the studio photographer? Can a field camera effectively do
- double duty?
-
- Please email responses, and I'll summarize. The expiry at this site is
- a little short ...
