  13. Hi,
  14. Suppose I hand hold a filter (eg soft focus) in front of a 
  15. lens instead of screwing it on. Now, if my hand holding the
  16. filter happens to shake, will the final image be less sharp
  17. than if I had screwed on the filter? Assume the camera is on
  18. tripod and the filter diameter is much larger than the lens.
  19. Also, does it make a difference if the filter is held very 
  20. close to the lens (small gap ~ 5mm) or at some distance
  21. away from the lens, say 10-15mm ? Thanks in advance.
