- Hypothetically, the loss in quality is zero. But that is assuming the
- publisher has equipment that can scan negatives. Thousands of these
- scans are made every day at newspapers using LeafScan, LeaFax, Nikon,
- Kodak, etc. scanners. It's quite possible, however, that a magazine
- publishing house would have a Crosfield or some other scanner that
- can't deal with negatives. In that case, you will either need to give
- them a print or an ultra-high quality dupe-to-slide.
