- I don't have flourescent light in my darkroom, so I can't comment on the
- effect on film/paper, but I had flourescent light in my bedroom which
- had significant afterglow. It was in fact strong enough for me to read in.

- After some investigation, I discovered that the light switch only cut one
- of the wires, and not both. Since the lamp also was connected to
- earth/ground, the voltage at the live wire was enough to cause
- a significant glow when the lamp was still warm.
- I replaced the switch with one that cut both wires and the glow went away.
