- I made the move to medium format about 9 years ago with a Bronica system.
- I am glad I didn't abandon my 35mm stuff. The medium format stuff definitely
- [roduces some great images and works well for my wedding and portrait
- work. But I do miss the zoom lenses, advanced metering, AF, and other
- capabilities that make the 35mm stuff really nice. The 35mm format
- also has a greater range of lenses available. Some medium format systems
- like Hasselblad and Rollei have a nice array of lenses and accessories,
- but you may need to second-mortgage your home to be able to afford them.
- The medium format equipment is quite heavy and in my opinion not very
- practical for travel and documentary photography. Don't rush to sell
- the 35mm stuff. You may learn to appreciate it even more after branching
- into medium format.
