  19. Well, it depends on what your experience is, and what you want to
  20. do with a camera.

  22. Personally, I prefer the PZ-10. Smaller, metal (as opposed to
  23. composite) construction, simpler to use, power (or manual) zoom,
  24. with special zoom features, and for the price, you get more with
  25. the Pentax over the Canon.

  27. However, everyone is different, and I might suggest you find a good
  28. sales counselor (unless you want to drive up to my store in SF-
  29. Geary) and discuss your needs.

  31. The Canon has more adjustability, but that is important ONLY if you
  32. plan to use them. Who cares about bracketing if you'll never use
  33. slide film? Will you push or pull film? If so, then Canon. If you
  34. don't care, then Pentax.

  36. Pentax lenses are quite adequate. Unless you plan to get exotic
  37. lenses, who cares if Canon has thousand dollar lenses if you are
  38. satisfied with a 28-80 and a 100-300?
