  11. I got the most wonderful dog calendar that I've ever seen.  It's a page-a-day
  12. calendar with pictures that people have sent in.  It's great because I feel
  13. like I am looking through someone's photo album.  There are some show shots
  14. but mostly it's happy dogs looking out of car windows.  There are some staged
  15. shots--a basset with glasses on it.  Buth they really have a home photo album
  16. feel.

  18. They are pulling together entries for next year's calendar.  I suggest that
  19. everyone interested should send in their best shot.  Here are scoops:

  21. You send  a snapshot--any size but enlargements are prefered.  Write the dog's
  22. name, your name and address and daytime phone number on a label and attach
  23. it to the back of the photo.  Photo's are not returned and become the property
  24. of Workman Publishing.  With each phot send in an entry form giving the
  25. dog's name, age, breed, owner's name, address, phone number and then a few
  26. sentences about your dog.  Then write the sentence:  I confirm that I am
  27. the owner of all rights, including copyright, in the attached photo and that
  28. I have read and agreed to the rules of the contest.  and sign it.  (OK, all
  29. the lawyers reading are probably getting ulcers, but my guess is that they
  30. would accept the photo with some partial waiver, and then get back to you
  31. with the real form.
