- I have a problem. In August of 1991 I bacame a graduate student in North
- Carolina while my 2 year old dog stayed in New Mexico with my parents. I
- could not find a house in North Carolina with a big enough yard for
- Sammy, so she stayed in New Mexico. I have visited her only twice since
- August of 1991. I wanted to visit her more but I had neither the time
- nor the money. Sammy really likes my parents and seems really well
- adjusted. Although the two times I was back, she did remember me and
- she seemed to prefer to be around me when I was in New Mexico. My
- parents just adore her and they have taken great care of her. This is my
- problem. Once I graduate and find a job, I intend to find a place to
- live that has a big enough yard for Sammy, but I do not know if it would
- be fair to Sammy to remove her from her home of the past 1 1/2 to 2
- years. Besides this, I do not know if it is fair to my parents. My
- question is, will it be damaging to remove her from my parents home in
- New Mexico (the her in that last sentence was referring to Sammy). I do
- not know if it makes any difference, but Sammy is a cross between an
- Australian shepherd and a german shepherd. Any response through the
- newsgroup will be greatly appreciated.
