- have VERY definite ideas about what they want in their next dog, and most

- Another goal of the AKC is supposed to be promoting responsible dog ownership,
- and obedience training is certainly responsible -- so why not let all dogs
- compete, even if the person never DOES get a purebred dog? Let the person
- show proof that the dog is neutered (what could be more responsible than
- that?), and let them compete!
