- I'm new to this group, so I don't know if this is a Never-
- ending Topic, but I'd like to take issue with the dog-people/
- cat-people dichotomy. In my experience it's rare to begin
- with and people with such strong species-preferences are
- usually narrowminded and intolerant.
-
- Personally I like cats *and* dogs (and horses, and etc). I
- don't currently have a dog because my schedule is too hectic
- and dogs require more maintainance than I'm in a position
- to offer, so it wouldn't be fair. It's also a false idea
- that cats and dogs don't do well together; puppies and kittens
- raised together usually grow up to be the best of friends
- (and often co-conspirators in conducting household mayhem)
