  10. My daughter living in a Lowell,MA apartment complex saw that a neighbor 
  11. when evicted left his two young cats to fend for themselves in the empty
  12. (except for clutter) apartment for 3 days. She found them, fed them and
  13. tried to find homes for them, but to no avail. She cannot keep them as
  14. she has a full grown cat already and lives in a one-bedroom apt. I have
  15. temporarily taken one of the cats but both need permanent homes.

  17. Both cats seem to be about 6-8 months old. They are supposed to be 
  18. from the same litter. Both seem to have been rather poorly nourished
  19. and currently have ravinous appetites.

  21. The first cat, the one at my house, is a fluffy, looks part Persian all
  22. white cat. Her tail is real big and fluffy; funny though her head is not
  23. the shape of a Persian. She is completely white with one blue eye and one
  24. yellow eye...definately a mix breed. Sadly, she is also deaf. She is very
  25. loving and has done real well with my 6 year old. It is hard for my son to
  26. deal with the deafness of the cat and even harder for my husband who has
  27. some physical restrictions in moving around. "Cream" as she was called by
  28. the "animal" who abandoned her, has a rather loud meow and in my opinion 
  29. would be an EXCELLENT companion for some person who is either 1) accustomed
  30. to working and living with deaf pets or 2) is hearing impaired as well.
  31. She seems to be healthy now that she is eating but I know nothing of her
  32. medical history.

  34. The "other" cat had been named "Cookies" by the previously named animal.
  35. Although I have not met him/her my daughter says he/she has been almost
  36. fun to have around, if it weren't for Cricket, her own cat. Cookies was
  37. previously identified as a male, but my daughter has not found any proof
  38. of that so far and wants me to stop by to investigate later... but in any
  39. event the same goes for his/her medical history ... who knows? Cookies has
  40. a rather timid meow and is not as much a long hair cat as Cream. He/she is
  41. jet black with the only white being a single white whisker.

  43. We really do not want either of these cats to have to go to the shelter. Cream
  44. especially I am afraid would have difficulty in being adopted and they are
  45. too nice of cats to be destroyed. Both are extremely affectionate and just 
  46. are waiting for new homes.
