- It's interesting to read about different reactions to cats getting on
- the kitchen counter or dining tables. Both our cats have been trained
- (more or less) to stay off the kitchen counter and dining table, although
- they do get relapses and decided "hey! I need something!" and jump up.
- But I don't think it's so much the idea of bacteria, etc., but more the
- cat hair that ends up all over the place and eventually into our food 8)
- We may have taught them to stay off the counters and tables when we are
- around but that doesn't mean they won't do it when we're asleep at night.
-
- I will, however, growl at them if they decide to situate themselves on
- top of the fridge where my African violet is! (Last time I had it on a
- table, small depressions were made and bits of dirt were scattered
- around the pot). Plus, Finster has a taste for leaves from time to time.
- Ah well....
-
- The book _The Secret House_ I've heard about and one of these days I'm
- gonna check it out at the library if it's there :)
