- And just in case you care:
- Negative reinforcement of a behavior *encourages* the behavior. It's
- negative because you take away something bad, rather than giving
- something good. If you have a headache and you take aspirin, you
- are negatively reinforced by its stopping your headache. This makes
- you more likely to take aspirin next time you have a headache.
