- Yes it will take more time. It sounds like you are doing fine. I have
- converted many birds to a pelleted diet. If he is eating fresh foods well
- & some pellets, you could try not giving any seed at all for a few days &
- even longer if you are POSITIVE he is eating the pellets to get him good &
- used to them. My birds are all on pellets & fresh foods & receive seed
- only 2 or 3 times weekly as a treat. The most important thing to remember
- when converting your bird is to monitor his droppings CONSTANTLY to make
- sure he is eating an adequate amount. You also might try giving your bird
- a variety of pellets. Mine eat Lake's, Kaytee Exact, Lafeber's &
- Roudybush mainly & eat other brands as I offer them as well.
