- Our 3 year old female canary has recently started losing feathers
- around the neck area - enough to make a bare patch visible. The
- bird seems healthy enough, though she has been in a "nesting mode"
- for the past year, always trying to build her nest in her food bins.
- We have resorted to giving her food in covered bins to stop her nesting
- in them. My question is - what is causing her to lose her feathers
- (stress, hormones, parasites, etc) and what can we do to prevent her
- from going bald? Any suggestions, via email, will be appreciated.
