- In addition to salt spools being a supplement to their diet, a lot of furry
- friends just love the salt as a treat, and usually there is no real health
- risk involved. Our hamsters and gerbils loved it, and our rabbit even liked
- it. Not to mention the huge salt licks we buy and post in the woods every
- winter for the deer--a great treat!
