- Around here, in Dallas-Fort Worth, art class models are getting anywhere
- from $4.50 (minimum wage) to $6 an hour for posing for college classes,
- and maybe $10 an hour for posing for groups (non-school sponsored)...
-
- For photography, the normal rate seems to be about $10/hour for
- non-commercial work, though I do get a release from my models when I am
- paying that rate - the release does restrict the image to display and/or
- sale by me, and not as commercial work for someone else.
-
- I've only done one shoot knowing it was going to be used by someone else,
- and that time the model (a young lady that had worked with me several
- times before at the $10/hr rate) was paid $100/hr with a 2-hour guarentee
- (she actually was in front of the camera for about 20 minutes!).
