- My SO and I just saw the first episode of "Prime Suspect", a repeat of a
- British crime serial on PBS. It has a scene where a woman, angry that the
- police are keeping her husband under surveillance, flashes open her blouse
- at the watchers she knows are across the street. What you actually see is a
- sort of "twitch"--she holds the garment, her hands move slightly, the camera
- cuts to the guy watching, who tells his partner what he just saw. It's odd,
- because the British shows have had this kind of thing for years and nobody
- complains much. Did the original producers leave the scene out, or did the
- local puritans snip it here?
-
- No, I don't watch PBS just to watch this stuff come around. Really.
