- welllll, you can't just go by the number of songs. Personally, I
- measure a show by the number of *notes* Jerry plays. I remember a
- show in Greenland back in '65 when he just loaded it down with quarter
- notes. Boy was I pissed! I mean, it was hot and everything, but if
- a show contains fewer than 17,324 notes I just think you might as well
- stay home and listen to the classic 39,004 note show from Ventura in
- '49 on tape. Now there was a *show*!

- sure, a promised land or somethin' after Birdsong woulda
- been nice, but they ain't kids no more. A little energy conservation
- is understandable. Highlights for me were Birdsong and Samson and
- Last Time and KNockin'. I'm glad the Band is still Playin'!
