  12. Last night I went to see First Call at the First Baptist Church
  13. in Georgetown, Texas. I have never listened much to this group,
  14. but loved the group Fireworks ( the group that Marty McCall was in
  15. before First Call). Does anyone know if any Fireworks stuff is
  16. available on CD?

  18. Anyway, I was kind of disappointed because the first thing I noticed
  19. is that there was going to be know live band or live instruments of
  20. any kind. It looked like they would be singing to a music track,
  21. which to me is a real bummer. Then, when they came out, I could
  22. swear that they were just lip synching, and not even singing at all.
  23. Now I was really bumming, I felt like leaving and complaining right
  24. there. But as the show progressed, I realized that they weren't lip
  25. synching, but just had amazing voices. The songs I enjoyed the
  26. most were the accapello songs with no music track. I knew Marty
  27. studied voice in college, and enjoyed his voice from Fireworks,
  28. but never had a change to listen to and enjoy the full range of his
  29. vocal talents. The two females with him were equally impressive, and
  30. they vocals blended well together. Their stage presence wasn't great,
  31. but was ok. The mostly older crowd found it hard to "get into" the     
  32. concert...I really would have liked to have got up and danced in the
  33. aisles to a couple of tunes, but felt like the crowd was a little
  34. uptight. They played mostly songs from their latest album, I think
  35. it's called "Human Touch."

  37. Overall it was worth my $10, but I really wish they would have had
  38. live musicians to back them up.
